Mercedes-Benz may introduce three cylinder engine in its C-Class

As the carbon emission rate is increasing, many companies are looking forward to use hybrid technology. Mercedes-Benz is also trying to introduce hybrid concept in all of its cars by 2012. Mercedes-Benz may introduce hybrid technology in its C class so that it can achieve its goal of introducing hybrid concept in all of its cars. Research and Development chief of Mercedes revealed that some models of Mercedes will have three cylinder engine.
Mercedes have some big plans in the store. Mercedes is searching for a partner to develop three cylinder engine. The three cylinder engine will be lighter and more fuel efficient than four cylinder engine. Mercedes have done lot of experimentation with fuel-efficient in the past too with company’s Disetto engine. Mercedes –Benz will also use this three cylinder in A and B-Class and and the diminutive Smart For Two. Mercedes doesn’t want to be left behind BMW therefore Mercedes is also working on its three-cylinder engine just like BMW.
