Fiat Grande Punto entered the Indian small car segment with its three varying FIRE (Fully Integrated Robotized Engine) options. The car name reminds me of the Clint Eastwood’s famous movie Gran Torino where he was proud of his car, that was a luxury that one should be proud of, same is the case with Grade Punto that is so economical for its Fire (Fully Integrated Robotized Engine) and Luxury.
It’s available in two engine variants petrol and diesel. Two petrol engines (1.2 and 1.4 FIRE) and one diesel (1.3 multijet), the production will start from Fiat’s Rajangaon plant, near Pune in Maharashtra.
1.2 FIRE (Petrol) engine specifications:
- Maximum Power: 68.2ps of power @ 6000 rpm
- Maximum Torque: 95.75 Nm of torque @ 2500 rpm.
1.4 FIRE (Petrol) engine specifications:
- Maximum Power: 90ps of power @ 6000 rpm
- Maximum Torque: 115 Nm of torque@ 4500 rpm.
1.3 Multijet (Diesel) engine specifications:
- Maximum Power: 76ps of power @ 4000 rpm
- Maximum Torque: 197 Nm of torque @ 1750 rpm.

This car is a challenge for existing models in the market like Maruti Suzuki Ritz, Hyundai i20, Skoda Fabia and Honda Jazz.
