Name and fame occurs now and than in ones life, but for few it happens  quickly if they make it to Bollywood. Here are few of the celebrities from television who banged some big supporting roles and lead roles in bollywood.

Sulagna Panigrahi

Panigrahi, originally from Bhubaneswar,  lived in New Delhi for 10 years until she moved to Mumbai in 2007. She has finished her schooling from Army Public School, Dhaula Kuan, New Delhi.  She made her popular debut as Dhara of Amber-Dhara TV series, and took the big change and entered Big Screen land with the thriller, Murder 2. She has been filming for a new Tamil movie ‘Isai’.

Shakti Mohan

Shakti Mohan, originally from Delhi but has lived in Mumbai since 2006. She is a contemporary dancer and winner of Zee TV’s dance reality show Dance India Dance’s season 2 and played Kria in the Tv series Dil Dosti Dance for channel [V]. She appeared in title song of movie ‘Tees Maar Khan’ and in the famous item song ‘aa re pritam piyaree’ from the movie ‘Rowdy Rathore’, which bring a lot of fame to her.

Anita Hassanandani (Natassha)

Anita Hassanandani, is an Indian model and film and television actress. After a successful modelling career she turned to daily tv soaps ‘Kabhii Sautan Kabhii Sahelii’ , ‘Kavyanjali’ and become a common household name. She showed up in various Hindi, Kannada, Tamil and Telegu Movies, famous bollywood movies include Kucch tau Hai, Krishna Cottage and yeh dil.

Barkha Bisht started her carrier with MTV serial ‘Kitni Mast Hai Zindagi’ in the year 2005. She made her debut with a item number in Movie Rajneeti.

A Muslim Model, Actress and a dancer started her carrier at an earlier age. She sizzled the small screen with Amul Macho ‘ bada toing hai’ advertisement. She appeared in Big Boss 6 and stayed at 3rd place, but the show bring a lot of fame for her. She filmed various Tamil and Telugu Movies, and got a lead role with Salman Khan in the Movie ‘Mental’, currently filming.

Shweta Tiwari the famous Prerna from Ekta Kapoor’s famous TV series ‘Kasauti Zindagi Ki’ for eight long years. She won Big Boss season four, and since than she has grabbed various new projects. She made her bollywood debut with Movie ‘Madhoshi’ in year 2004, playing Tabbasum.

Yuvika Chauhary, originally from Baraut, Uttar Pradesh. Started her carrier with a Zee Cine Star Ki Khoj as a participant, which lead her to a Tv Serial ‘Astitva…Ek Prem Kahani’ , in which she played Aastha. She Got her Bollywood Break with ‘ Om Shanti Om’.

Yami Gautam, Originally from Chandigarh, started her carrier with television commercials and daily soap like Chand Ke Paar Chalo and Yeh Pyar Na Hoga Kam. She entered big screen in year 2010 with a Kannada Movie, her Bollywood debut was marked with the critical success of Vicky Donar.

Vidya Balan Started her carrier as Radhika of Hum Paanch, another television production of Ekta Kapoor. She made her Bollywood debut, with a musical drama ‘Parineeta’ starring opposite Saif Ali Khan. She is among the most successful television celebrity, and had established herself as a leading contemporary heroine.  She had won a National Award, Best Actress for her role in ‘The Dirty Picture’.
