Easy Comment Firefox Add-on for Bloggers

I am a great fan of Firefox and its great add-ons that are available in wide range for it users. I have tried it in range of social bookmarking, rank check (alexa sparky), synchronization, ad filtering, image snapping etc. And recently i had started with a new add-on for improving and fastening my blogging experience and interacting with other blog. This add-on is a easy comment add-on and helps you to automatically fill up the comment form on a blog,just by a single click.

This is how the author describes its add-on.

Automatically fill out Blog Comment Forms. If you’re into the blogosphere, this is a must have!
- multiple profiles ( name / email / url / message )
- shortcut key for commenting
- language mutation

Steps for Installation and Configuration of the Add-On:

  1. Install the add-on in your Firefox browser, Download.
  2. Restart your browser for making it to function.
  3. At the extreme bottom right on the browsers status bar, you will see easy Comment option,
    Right click>> Manage Profiles

  4. Fill up the settings form, create new profile by the name you prefer.

  5. Leave the comment column blank, during profile creation.
  6. Close the easy comment setting extension and you are done.

Now when ever you move to a blog to make a comment,just click on your easy comment add-on in the extreme bottom right of your browsers status bar. As soon as the click is made, it will look for the forms available on the webpage and fill them up automatically. In this case it will fill up the comment form fields.

Traffic is improving drastically

I have recently seen a drastic improvement in the traffic over colorsofnet.com. As i have covered in my previous posts that i had implemented clicksor over my high traffic websites. And i have covered how clicksor allows you to add a URL in your clicksor ad code. I have been benefited dually, since i am getting a great and happy amount of traffic. There is a continuous presence of visitors on the site that could been seen through the online visitor counter.

The traffic has definitely improved my earning, the earnings had changed from few cents to dollars on daily basis. Their are lot of visitors following me on twitter and subscribing to my feeds.

I am waiting for approval from Clicksor over this domain and very soon you will be seeing clicksor over this domain also. Till than others can also apply for Clicksor ads on their blogs/ websites. Why to hold yourself to limited ads inventory?

Status Update of Clicksor Earnings

Yesterday, i had decided to implement clicksor as an alternative of adsense and adbrite on my high traffic earning websites. I did so, and the results were satisfactory without effecting the adsense earnings. The impressions that i had received on the site are being credited in my account. I am going to monitor it for further two days, because i don’t want my adsense to be effected by them. So far the results are satisfactory and i am hoping a healthy long term relationship with Clicksor.

The earnings are less but their is an advantage that is useful for this site of mine. During the setup, you will be asked to enter an alternate site (colorsofnet.com) to be displayed if the network is unable to find suitable pop under ads for your site. The ad appears silent in the background without effecting your site browsing.

Clicksor ads had boosted my earnings for colorsofnet adsense channel as i was receiving good traffic today and clicks too. So, i am in a win win situation with clicksor for the time being.

Clicksor suggesting itself as an alternative of Adsense and Adbrite

Few, days back i got mail from one of my old publisher Clicksor. The have claimed that their new revenue sharing with publishers is the best compared to adsense and adbrite.

Well, looking to their claim i have decided to give it a try again on my popular websites. I previously, had tried their services but was disappointed by the earnings. That time in January i had used their services just for 16 odd days and had earned around $ 41, which was less than their minimum payout. Now when i have checked my account back again after 10 months the unpaid earnings were still their in my account. This was really great, so i decided to test their services again and look at their claim.

The image ads are not contextual ads, so choose the graphical ads while generating an ad code.

I will be publishing the earning reports in my coming posts, about my new revival experience with clicksor. I am expecting better results this time.

Best open sources for a web-entreprenur When a person with a dream of making a online carrier enters this fascinating world of codes and services, is always confused? There are lot of confusions that they are having in their mind, one such confusion is with the platform and the mode of presence.

Let’s talk about some great open source software’s for this purpose. But before moving to this you will be requiring a hosting package, to host the open source software’s.

If you are new to Joomla it could be hard for you to manage, for this we again recommend wordpress as you could customize it to CMS and their are lot of great themes available for it.

Forum

These days a lot of discussion boards are being developed instead of fully functional and properly managed websites. But i recommend forums as a part of a CMS website, as forums had a poor SEO and alone it could destroy your online presence. Moreover, optimizing a forum for Search Engine is a tough Job.

The available open source software in the forum category are PHPBB, SMF, Icy Phoenix. They all have a bad SEO, so i will not give a hardcore recommendation for a single one. Well if you look at the support available for the three PHPBB leads the race far ahead, and a lot of mod’s are also available for it. If we look at a better SEO among the three, Icy Phoenix is a good choice; but the problem with it is the amount of server resources it utilizes when it operates. Hence, resulting higher cost of operations.

Concluding all the three categories of the open sources covered above, best option of managing a website is through blogging software’s. Specifically wordpress, as it will be meeting all your requirements, and its very simple to manage and operate.

And all the Open sources that are detailed above are being developed in PHP. Hence their are plug-ins available for their interoperability and inter connectivity.

XML-RPC enabling for configuration of Windows Live Writer

Setting up a windows live writer account on your PC is one is the most easiest task that you could perform easily, no rocket science involved in it. However their is one issue that uses to occur for very few, while setting up the writer.

What’s the issue involved? Few users uses to face problem with XML-RPC enabling, during their setup process. We will we covering it later while we will be following the steps of configuration.

Steps along with screen shots:

  1. First of all you need to have a setup of the windows live writer, that you could download from Live Writers site.
  2. Run the setup, and select windows live writer from the options available with the installation.
  3. Now open the installed windows live writer, it will automatically ask for configuration. Below are the screens attached for step by step understanding of this process.
